8ight T starter box......
what is the best suited starter box to use for the 8ightT.....
|
my opinion would be the chrome top Ofna box, tons of jam. You'll have to shim the top plate under the fastening screw but it works awesome for truggies especially if you running a new .28 motor! I had the Losi box and used to three times starting my new lrp.28 and fried the motors! the only good thing about the Losi box is the change over from truggy to buggy and its lighter then the Ofna box.

I also have an 8ight T and my Losi starter box works great....no problems here...anyone should know to heat up your motor before trying to start it on any starter box. Just comon sense....

I would go with imho, the Ofna Truggy starter box. This box will start a tight engine even if it's cold no problem. This is the ultimate starter box in my opinion why? one answer 2 775 motors. I have one 775 motor in my hippo box and it can turn over my Go Tech .21R engine and anyone that has a GO knows how tight they are. 2 775 motors combined with 14.4v (2x7.2v stick packs)of power = you can start ANYTHING.

i would say use the new ofna truggy box
i have read alot about the losi motors being too weak but the truggy box with 2 775 motors will start anything:GRIN: |
re ofna truggy box with a losi 8 t.
i know ziggy bought an ofna truggy box for his losi 8t but since the losi chassis is somewhat wider it was a pain to line up the flywheel so he went with the losi box . the 8 t fits perfectly and he has yet have a problem starting his truggy even with a new motor .
to use the ofna truggy box with the 8t you have to remove some of the posts to get it to line with up the wheel . |
