2wd 1/10 buggy/truggy racing

Hey everyone,
Just curious to see how many fellow 10th scale buggy/truggy racers planning to frequently race/practice at Sid's in 2011. I'm in the middle of buying new gear (after being out of the sport for over 10 years), and was curious to see how many racers, and how the competition is at this track.

What's a common setup? Brushless? Motor turns?

Looking forward to the track. Take it easy.

Sids raceway for 2011??

We really havent heard much from the owners of sids forcquite a while

Back in november they posted that they were having difficulties putting together a dedicated track committee to help organize race events as well maintaining the track.

Who really knows what their plans are??

From the sounds of things you might not see any racing happening at sids for 2011 .

I remember in 2007 and any race at sids brought out 60-70 guys on a regular basis . With fastcats closing down perhaps things will pick up for sids

I'll be out when i can.

I'll be out there with my SC truck. I can see alot of ppl switching to outdoors when the weather gets better. now its all indoor racing / practices.

I asked Sid's

The reply I got back was, stay tuned.. there are going to be some big changes this year.

MY guess - someone has gone in and worked a deal with Sids, it will be bigger and better this year, but done more on a professional deal - aka a split of the profits in some manner.

As far as a facility - the drivers stand etc.. there is nothing better for hundreds of miles, but the dirt used, and the whole volunteer commitee things was not the best.

But I think you might see someone TRY very hard with this .. this coming year.
