Power Connector Ratings?

Thought I'd ask this here first.

My TREX600E will be on the schedule for completion this winter and I'm now wondering if even the Deans connectors would have the capability of handling in excess of the 75A it could draw.

I've run Deans and EC3 connectors in my smaller machines, but would like to know if there are better options, (XT60, etc).

I've run deans for over 100 amps so I don't see an issue. I believe XT60 is just a housing for 5mm bullet connectors.

If you really wanted to be safe, Anderson Powerpoles have connectors rated up to 180amps.

The EC5 connectors have run over 100A for me repeatedly without issue.

No, the XT60 and EC3 connectors use the identical 3.5mm bullets.

Not sure about the max capacity of Deans (User with Post above says he has no problems with it- so it must be OK) but I do know the EC5's and the HK equivalent 5mm bullets will handle the load

Ahh, knew they were bullets but wasn't quite sure on the size. Wouldn't trust 100amps to 3.5mm bullets myself.

The highest load I personally use deans on is my brushless erevo truggy. I use 6S 5000mah 30C batteries (2 x 3S in series) with no issues.

EC5's highly recommended. Deans are rated at 60 A cont. The EC5's jacket also helps suppress spark. I am using them in my Cap 21 w/ Eflite Power 160/CC 110HV ESC and think they are the best solution for big voltage applications.
