Extreme Flight 87" Yak

Anyone else on the list for the first shipment of EF 87" Yak's?

I just confirmed my place with a $100usd deposit today :D

Should be here in a month or so.

This looks to be a great little ARF , perfect for a DA 50 or the like ( in my case I think my Taurus 52 will end up in it.

Nice size for local club fields, not too big, not too small. Comes with alot of quality accessories for the $650 USD. plus shipping

EF Yak

Hi Mike,
I did the same today. I already have another DA50 just waiting for the plane. Also have a MTW canister muffler but not sure if I'll use it.
The 35% Edge is ready for painting now. How is yours coming along?
Regards,
Steve

Hey Steve,

That's great, we'll have to get together this spring or summer and fly them. :D

I haven't done a lot of work on the Edge, I did get all the paint work done in the summer and it looks great. The fuse and wings still need a finish sand, They're down to about 150 grit, the stabs, elevator and rudder are finish sanded.

I've been fooling around with some other things, i put together a H9 Edge, as I lost my h9 Suk in late september and wanted a quick replacement.

I've cut the elevators off of my 30% Carden Cap in order to double bevel the tail for 3d. It's a great little plane and I've only flown it a few times in the last couple of years because I didn't build it for 3d at the time and that's what I really like to fly now. I need to lighten it up a bit too.

So, those two things have taken some time away from the 35%

Regards

Mike

did you guys know that KMP is selling the same ARF? Why go on the waiting list? I had the opportunity to fly one of the first ones to come to Canada and they are a VERY nice plane. Quality is excellent and after 50+ flights it still holding together. Take care

kmp

Hi Chris,

The KMP is not the same plane. It is an 87" Yak but, the construction is totally different than the EF.

Sincerely,

Mike

I'll back Mike up on this... I just returned 2 KMP 87" Yaks in a row as It did not meet the same standards as my 68" EF Yak 54. Construction is totaly different.
