anyone who wants to share their setup, this is a good place. Also if you want to include your final drive ratio, cool. I personally don't know how to calculate it.

would you all mind telling your motor and gearing? (spur and pinion)? I think that this will help those with under/over gearing problems. Also as the summer temperatures approach, this will help to avoid cooking stuff.

Hi Guys,

I see all kinds of info but most is worthless without the final drive ratio. my example is as follows:

Motor 12x2
Pinion = 20
Spur = 87
final drive 2.6:1

87/20 = 4.35 * 2.6 = 11.31:1

The total reduction is the key we are looking for. This info "11.31:1" can be applied to almost any truck/buggy that is using the same motor and tire diamater. Don't take for granted that another truck/buggy like yours will have the same gear reduction. There are many aftermarket diff and tranny mods that will change the final ratio. Even a different model year can change the ratio. Take the RC10T = 2.25:1, RC10T3 = 2.4:1 & RC10T4 = 2.6:1 big difference in ratios.

This information is also very useful for those with the same car... i.e all the B4's at the track - etc.
