Zenoha Platinum 26cc

Hi All
I have a Zenoha Platinum 26cc that I a am changing the crankshaft. When I pulled the prop hub off that contains the magnet for the timing sensor, their was no key.So I need to know how many degrees before TDC I set the timing to press the hub back on .
If any one can help me with this I would really appreciate it
Thanks Al

That depends on how the Zenoah Platinum Ignition module is designed to function.

For example, with DLE, DA and RCExl ignitions, you would set the total advance at say 28 to 30 degrees BTDC and those modules actually retard the timing for initial starting and low RPM.

However, for others like 3W and ZDZ(Falcon) modules you set the initial at 4 to 6 degrees BTDC and they advance the timing as needed.

I looked around the web and didn't find any info on how your module works, what timing range is built into it, or where to set the timing. Maybe if you email Horizon Hobby support they'd be willing to tell you. Unfortunately, my experience with them is they mostly just advise you to send the product to them

Cheers
Den

Hi Den
I have talked to Horizon and they can't supply the original crankshaft I have to use the older style that sticks out the back of the engine and were no help with the timing issue
It looks like I need some one with a 26 platinum setting on a shelf to measure it for me
Thanks for your input
Allan
