Scale Team Trials

I guess I've been remiss in missing posting this here but, I've been overwhelmed with work and logistics for this event.

As reported in my article in the MAAC magazine a few months ago, the Scale Team Trials are being held September 27th at Edenvale (http://www.edenvaleflyers.ca) beginning at 9am. The following Sunday is reserved for a rain date (looks like we might need it).

Did you get rained out? Any updates?

Bob

JimMcIntyre 09-30-2003 07:31 AM

Sorry Bob, you'll have wait for my column in the magazine or see me at the field....

I do apologize, I'm not trying to be mysterious or soliciting readership, it's just that recent political cr*p in MAAC has me erring on the side of caution. :(

Randy Brown 10-01-2003 06:06 AM

Why would he have wait for the MAAC mag to say what happen?

They Flew
They Crashed
They went home

JimMcIntyre 10-01-2003 09:58 AM

Hardly a complete report Randy. :?

Randy Brown 10-01-2003 10:03 AM

Short and to the point:)

So if everyone crashs..does that mean there is another Team Tryout?

JimMcIntyre 10-01-2003 10:16 AM

... it's up to the board to approve the schedule, I can only make proposals.

Randy Brown 10-01-2003 10:49 AM

Let me no

I was thinking about entering my ARF

hehehe

JimMcIntyre 10-01-2003 11:05 AM

Well, I guess you could simply state "Everything" on your exception list and live with a zero for your static score.

To Randy or anyone else ....

I do not think there is much to laugh about or make fun of here . It really doesn't matter if you like scale or not ,or the people doing it . The fact remains that they are out there pouring their souls and wallet into their planes to try and compete :!: Hardly something to laugh at in my opinon. If you think it is a peice of cake well....do something about it like build a world class quality scale plane and then come and compete :!: I wish you all the luck as it takes a HUGE commitment to find all the required documentation and then the 1000 plus hours to build a plane .

Just my 2cents worth and my last post on it.
Jim M. , wish I could have had my plane ready ...maybe next year .
