Multirotor Pictures and Videos

Thought I would start a new thread in this new section for posting pictures and videos of multirotors here in Canada.

Maybe post the details of your build (frame, motors, escs, flight controller, etc) and some pictures and flight videos. Be nice to see what other Canadians are doing.

Here is my 6061 Hexacopter from FPVPilot.com. Its not how it looks today, I've reloacted the battery underneath and i've cleaned some things up, but this is unfortunately the only picture i have of it.

No RTH and using an HK orange RX, I didn't want to venture too far!

Just having some fun at the local schoolyard:

2 Attachment(s)
The small unit is a Multiwii Scarab YSix with a WooKong FC and a Sony NEX5n. The larger unit is a new build. It's a DJI S-800. The idea is to use a Photohigher Hero gimbal (when they're released lol) and a D800 Nikon. Fun stuff. This is my first season with MR's and having a blast. I have to comment on the first response to the OP. That's a pretty cool looking design!

Here's my FPV tricopter based (faithfully) on the RC Explorer 2.5 design.

It's got 10mmx10mm x 50 cm arms (cut down on the table saw from pine 2x4), RC Timer 750kV motors, 30A Turnigy Plush ESCs, HobbyKing KK flight controller, GoPro HD, 10x4.5 props with aluminum proper adapters/spinners, 12V step up/down (really cleans up the video), Spektrum 2.4gHz RX, and a Fox 800 1.2gHz video TX with home made iBCrazy cloverleaf circular-polarized antenna.

The FC and RX are in a small tupperware container. The frame body is cut from fibreglass sheet. The GoPro HD has a layerlens lens protector and now flies without the waterproof case; it is mounted with velcro and rubber bands.

I use a Zippy Compact 4000mAh lipo and get 10.5 minutes of flight with 20% capacity remaining.

It flies great, is optimized for FPV and the frame is dirt cheap to repair. Very practical. Oddly enough, the ugliness seems to get people's attention more than the fancier commercial models.
