I bought this brand new in spring 2013 and have had some awesome flights with this - it's still mint condition and has yet to be flown this year.

I've now got a couple sport jets and a turboprop in progress with a F18 as a fall project, so decided that I'll see if this sells to make room.

Flight

The plane flies like an absolute dream, especially with Kingtech180 - tons of power. However this is a big jet and takes up a lot of space in the house.

With the drop tanks and armament installed, it is very draggy, but very scale and the 180 still has unlimited vertical.

Landings are surprisingly slow with about 40-50% power with flaps down. I can easily transfer my 18MZ programming for all flap / crow / elevator mixes.

I have only flown this monster off of grass - no issues at all with take-off. 0 structural issues and I've flown this quite hard. All servos are top of the line JR8911's or Savox 2230's so massive power.

History

I bought the Kingtech 180 new in spring 2013 at Joe Nall from Dreamworks RC. I've never had 1 issue with it... 100% reliable and I would recommend Kingtech to anyone. This is the newest version with all valves internal to turbine!!

Airframe was purchased in late winter 2013. Every single component was purchased new to ensure no issues.

I've logged 18 flights with it so far.

I had one bad landing with it on flight #2 - the cast-iron Skymaster pin on the front landing gear broke obviously due to some sort of defect (the landing was great - see video). No damage to the airframe (luckily it occured on grass) and I've now got a Behotec pin installed with 0 issues since.

I was not impressed with the air suspension on the front landing gear - the air has been replaced with a coil spring - works awesome!!! (pics tonight)

I also had the SkyMaster Air-retracts sent to Down'N'Locked for the electric conversion ($700)... after numerous headaches with the electric system on the main gear (gear too heavy and was burning motors) I converted the main gear back to air and left the front electric. All gear doors are electric (linear actuators on main doors, servo on nose wheel door. Everything is sequenced through the PowerBox Cockpit.

Smoke works awesome!

I've got 5.2L of fuel and 1L of smoke, so an easy 10minutes of flying. The additional tanks are wrapped in CF and Kevlar and coated with BVM ceramic paint.

Peter Woo spent considerable time putting on a Top-Gun quality weathering job on this. We also got water-transfers from Europe and Peter gave the entire plane a satin clear coat to seal it. This level of detail is second to none.
