Shuswap Fall Classic 2010 Float Fly Pictures!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry this took so long to get done, we finally got all the pictures sorted out and sent a few to FLYRC magazine that were requested.

Thanks to the Shuswap Lake Aero Modelers who host the event, we had a great time and you folks up there are GREAT!

Beverly spent hours and hours sorting, resizing the pictures and finally got them ready for my end of the web design side of the job.

To view all the action, please visit our website:

Thanks,

Team Tracon, Sam and Beverly, great shots.
Thank you all the hard work in taking the photos, editing, etc. The results are first class.

Yes, the guys "up north" will see them.

WOW I really enjoyed that, you have some excellent builders out there:cool: I will have to give my vote to the Swoose.......just an amazing job on a really cool model from yesteryear.
I think my friends Bill Pottage and Tom Hammond use to attend but I have not heard them mention it lately. Thanks again for sharing:)

I agree with you, the quality of the planes and their builders out here in the west is second to none, we have several renown world class master airplane builders like Ted Russell, Ivan Pettigrew, and now ace photographers like the Tracon team...Makes a guy proud to be a westerner :)

Hmmm now you mention it I've not seen Bill Pottage at Shuswap for a while, I could have just plain missed him this year...hope all is well with him.

I really enjoyed the crisp quality of the shots, ...Great job, Tracon

We are looking forward to your attendance at future Fall Classic Float Fly's. We were very happy to have you attend and I love the photos!
When I return from sunny California I may ask to put a link on http://www.slams.ca to your pages.
Being the owner of a Hangar 9 80" Cub I agree with your "park flyer" comments as I have felt the same as you. Didn't stop me from bringing it every year and occasionalyy "dunking" it.
Our club members and others in the hobby do their best to make this a good event. Fortunately the weather usually cooperates and even the recent Summer "smoke" usually disappears weeks or at least a week before the event. I hope this keeps happening for us.
Thanks again for the photo record and the kind words to the club and all.

Thank you everyone for the very nice compliments on my pictures. There was a lot of sorting and processing involved, but when I hear how much everyone enjoys the pics, it makes it all worthwhile. This was my biggest photo shoot to-date and it was only over 2 days - hopefully people weren't too tired of looking by the time they got to the end of the slide show. Maybe I should pare it back a bit for next year? Although, we plan on arriving earlier than Friday next year, so we'll have to see how it goes. It's difficult to stop taking pictures when there is so much activity buzzing around.

Thanks again for the warm welcome from the club members and the regular attendees at the event and for all of the pilots providing great subjects and information about their creations. It was a great time!

Bill has not attended any float flys now for quite a few years. He is still in good health, but has cut down on the travelling.
