What size and type of plane does this suit, Rob?

rmorhan 10-22-2005 02:08 AM

planes up to 30 oz for aerobatics , & up to 26 0z for 3d . draws 22 a @ 225 w on a 3s with a 12/6sf . will put out up to 40 oz thrust depending on prop. was purchased for my mini funtana at around 24oz but despite the mounting pains i went with an axi outrunner instead....hope that helps.. take care...rob m

I was considering it for my mini-edge, but I will probably go with an outrunner too.
Thanks.
Which AXI did you use?

Ron

this is the motor I use in my Mini-Funtana; loads of power.

Thanks Bob!
I'll have to think about it, I have a couple of choices now, but no hurry.
It will be for next year! :)

ron, i went with the 2808-24. unfortunately the radial mount set & stick mount are an extra $50 us & aren,t gonna be here for a week or two. the wait alone made me think twice about the outrunner but i,ve got some real #nal neighbors who think they own the beach i need to land on!i got noise complaints on my vto with a himax 2015 4300 & gws box,but no one mentions the 30 or 40 seadoos that go through my backyard every hour in the summer, go figure! take care...rob m

Guys,

I was at HobbyHobby yesterday and they have a neet mount from E-Flight that alows you to mount an outrunner on a 10mm stick. I think the cost was under $10.00.

If you phone HobbyHobby ask for Bill. He is the guy that had Tom bring them in just for the reasons mentioned above. I think he has 5 or 6 in stock to.
