The radio is from an estate ,the owner bought it and never had a chance to use it . I have put a few flights on it to check it out but it is as new in the box .I don't need yet another radio .The programming on the DX9 is a welcome feature though .Easy .

Just the radio . It has the telemetry features with voice etc etc . The face is metal with a very dark sheen to it . Visually I don't know the diff ,I'll look it up .

BTW, the dark metal sheen is the original DX9, the Black edition is matte black in finish.
There's no functional difference between the two versions, just cosmetic (and the VERY nice case the Black Edition comes with) |
