I bought cheap 5in1 eDVR "memory stick" size video camera:

With my son we recorded aerotowing flight using Piper Cub and EasyGlider. At home we saw the video and there was too much dirty areas as you can see in video:

I opened the camera and the cell was really dirty! I cleaned it with isopropanol and leather dope and what I saw??? Picture is now more bright and there is no dirty areas! Some my friends have same kind camera and there is same kind dirty areas. It seems be typical problem.

I will try tomorrow get more videos. Then we can see, is it so much better I think.

Has anybody else used same cameras?

I cleaned cell of the camera and we tried again. Now video is more better. Focusing distance adjustment should be check.

Much nicer.

Hard to believe a camera would ship in that condition. Someone at the factory must have messed up.

I just received one of these and am trying to figure out how to mount/trigger it. Would you mind posting pics/describing your setup?

Thanks!

Youtube is blocked at work ... I can't check out your video, if you don't mind, could you email it to me? jim(at)scalebuilder.org ( replace (at) with @ )

Thanks!

I have mounted USB-socket on fuselage of EasyGlider. I drilled hole and glued socket using CA. Now the camera is very easy and fast to install and re-install. Here is some photos about mounting.

Camera must set to dv-mode manually before flying and it needs many steps (press the mode-button again and again) after every switch-on.

My video is about 16MB and not possible to send via my email, sorry :(

Very innovative, I hadn't thought of doing that, thanks!

No worries about emailing the video, I checked it out from home. 8)
