That's right the world leader in the Yak department... before all those other guys jumped on the band wagon Chris created, is back in the Yak bussiness!

74" Yak 54 ARF: $399.00 + shipping

74" Yak 54 Super Combo includes ARF w/ O.S. 1.60FX and Slimline Muffler $719.95 + shipping

Why did they stop manufacturing the 87"?? I know there was a big demand for them and there was always a shortage, but if the company is still in business and they are still selling planes, why discontinue the 50cc class??

I talked to Chris at Toledo this year and he said that there are only about two or three factories overseas making the majority of the quality ARFs. His order for the 87" is so small, i would guess another 250 units like the first time, that he is being pushed back by the larger orders comming from the other companies selling Yaks.

Chris is a one man operation so I would guess he doesn't have the capitol of some of the larger companies.

At the time we spoke he wanted to release some more of the 50cc Yaks but wasn't sure what the future would hold. :( :(

Baseing this souly on what I have read, but posted by Chris on other forums, he ran into issues like Scaleguy said with shipments, and others copying his design. Therefore he stopped manufactuing them and moved his plant to another location, where he was going to start producing his designs only. From what I recall he put the 87" yak on the back burner for a while.

Again don't quote me on any of this, just going on what I have heard 2nd hand. Take it as it is. 8)
