SIG Mid Star

Hi, I have been flying a well used SIG Mid Star since April and am very pleased with it, I wish that this plane was available in a 60 size but its not, can anyone recomend a 60 to 90 size mid wing design that is close to the MidStar?

Even though its a low wing, I imagine the 4*60 ought to share many of the flying characteristics of the mid star, since the general layout is the same save for the low wing instead of the mid placed wing.

I am so happy with my 4*40 for an easy, yet capable sport plane I am getting a 60 size version next summer. Should handle anything from a 46 to a 1.00 2 stroke or a 65 to 1.20 4 stroke.

a 60 size plane with a 46 powering it? something that i have never heard of before......

i have heard that the 4*40 is a really good plane......especially if it is a second plane because it is apparently very smooth to fly....

My 4*60 has a Saito 91 and has more than enough power. Great plane

Its not a mid wing but the Super Sportster 60 flys very similiar. 8)

Sabre...........
I have both the Mid Star 40 ( weight 5 lbs.) and the Four Star 40 (weight 4.5 pounds). Very simlar to fly but I prefer the Mid Star in a 90 degree crosswind.

If built to plans the Mid Star has 1" dihedral and the Four Star has 2" which probable reflects in the cross wind handling.

I have heard nothing but good things on the Four Star 60 and 120. I wouldget one of them but already have two planes with 81" spans and I get more hanger rash with them then the small ones.

I also use a Ford Wagon to transport and the smaller the better.
