Axial Wraith kit
Picked up an Axial Wraith kit last week. Taking my time building it with my son. This thing is huge! I'll post pics and my thoughts once it's a runner.

The wraith is an awesome truck. I have the RTR. The kit has been released since I bought my RTR and I was looking at getting one of them also until I read about the new Axial EXO Buggy kit.

Yeah I waited all summer to get the Wraith for my birthday in October. Just a few weeks later Axial annouces the EXO. I'm looking to get one of those for Xmas. :D

It may have to be a late Christmas gift. I don't think it is being released until Jan.

Ran into a snag assembling the aluminum lower links. One end of one link is defective. To the naked eye it looks normal but the threads are buggered and won't allow the set screw to thread into it. I fired off an e-mail to Axial support to see if they can just send me a replacement link. Their warranty policy is to return the product to the retailer but I bought this mail-order through Tower Hobbies and I already have a few hours of time invested in it. Not sure if they would want me to return just the link or the whole kit though. If they won't help me directly I will probably just re-thread the link myself. I could have done that already but I saw this as a way to test Axial support. I have an Axial AX10 that I assembled myself without issue and due to it being a crawler running an 85-turn motor it doesn't go fast enough to get broken. :D

Good news, bad news.
Bad news is I have been out of town all week so I didn't get a chance to work on the kit. :( Good news is I got a reply from Scott at Axial support and he's sending me out a replacement link. :D Axial rocks . Sean  |
