9th annual N.O.I.C. is coming up fast.

Yes it is year 9 for this great annual event.

I am starting this thread to remind you all that the N.O.I.C. is less than 4 weeks away (August 3rd and 4th). We will have our usual Northern hospitality with our typical laid-back contest and wings at the dog house for the icing on the weekend.:TU:

All classes are welcome and I hope we have a good Basic turnout once again.

Remember, all Basic and Sportsman pilots will once again be entered in the Great Hobbies draw for a 50cc plane package.

A BIG THANKS TO GREAT HOBBIES:TU::TU:

Non-service camping at the field and you are welcome to come a few days early and stay a few days after (since it is a long weekend after all).

Please register or let us know in advance (to help the planning committee).

Looking forward to it Brendan. Always enjoy the NOIC hospitality. Just keep those bears off the runway when I am landing or taking off .......

I too am looking forward to attending the NOIC again. I had a great time there last year and it was a good initiation to IMAC. Let's hope for good weather.

The bears are there to keep the other wildlife away.;) Some airports use hawks and other prey birds where we find it more economical to just employ the local bears. Good jobs for them and they work for meat (human or otherwise:eek:). LOL

Can't wait to fly with you guys again.

Ok well we would not want unemployed bears. Actually they are a treat to see as long as they are running away from you.

Would be great to get a few of our friends out we have not seen this year ie Neil and Eric are two that we are missing at the moment

We would love to see some new faces and of course all the usual crowd at the NOIC. Our field is huge and there are no restrictions so we wil be flying the regular routine for all you Advanced and Unlimited pilots:TU:
This is the last contest before the Nats so a great opportunity to hone your skills and have a great time as well.
We should also have some great prizes thanks to our sponsors who will be listed shortly.
With all the four laning that's been completed, the trip up is under four hours from Toronto so come and help us make this years NOIC a memorable one:rock::rock:

Registrations are a little slow guys and gals. Please try to register on the IMAC web site soon so we can get some planning done. We will have some form of breakfast at the field and will try to get in as many rounds as possible.
Pilots meeting at 8:15 and wheels up at 8:30 with most likely a single flight line so no midairs to worry about:eek:
The Sudbury area is full of lakes and there are a number of attractions such as Science North, the Big Nickel mine experience, Laurentian University hiking trails, Ramsey Lake boardwalk etc.
It will be a great weekend!
