There is actually no difference except the ratchet on the throttle between heli and airplane, programming and switches are all the same according to futaba

And exactly what is the difference? It is the heli version .

14SGH is in preset heli-mode, while the 14SGA is preset in airplane-mode. The main difference is that the H-version has smooth throttle while the A-version has the ratchet version. I have held both and I opted to get the heli-version because I like how silky smooth it feels though I am an airplane guy. The tension of the ratchet for the A-version is really stiff for my needs eventhough you can adjust the tension.
