Re: Venting metering cover on carb?

Just wondering - would air pressure build up in the cowl not be related to an improper air inlet/outlet balance? As in - not a big enough hole for the air to exit the cowl?

Just thinking that there may be overheating issues happening in addition to carb vent pressure problems. Not much gas engine in planes experience but when the carb gets fussy on my chainsaw a good clean out of saw dust around the cylinder usually cures it.
