1/3 scale GReat Lakes Special

Sunday I got to teat fly my friends 1/3 scale Bipe. Built by Clarence Calder
Walt Mocca plans, 96", Quadra 75, 36 pounds.

Spent 2 hours at the field trying to eliminate ignition noise. Futaba 9C with new futaba receiver, Range check was good with engine off. While running all kinds of interfearance. Took off the wing wires, checked all connections, twisted the kill switch wires, ended up puting his spare Hitec reciever in the plane and problem was gone. I'll have to sheild the ignition and try the futaba again later.
Any how first flight was awesome. It's true the bigger they are the better they fly.
