I asked this of Mike Mayberry the rep for Hitec because at this time there are no OEM made for Hitec. He stated that the module had its own antenna thus itself was the product doing the transmission not the Hitec radio. You would be using the mechanical components only and the signal process would be though the aftermarket module. If they recognized the radio being used as proper approved equipment to attach to their equipment then as far as any sort of liability it would rest with the manufacturer of the module not the radio. He could see no reason for MAAC or the AMA not to approve this type of setup unless they had specific reasons. I guess this should be asked of our parent organization.

And in the case of XPS modules, they already carry the Industry Canada number so I don't see how MAAC could not recognize them. It's legal if they have a number from Industry Canada.
