Teaching yourself to fly can be done! Of course you now have flight simulators, for you a good investment. Back in 1964 there were no experienced fliers, we were all rookies. My first aircraft had only two controls motor and rudder and great gobs of dihedral. Full throttle meant you went up, half throttle was level flight and idle was descend. That aircraft lasted several years. I gave it away when I moved. As you can see here we are not concerned about the responsible drone pilots just the ones that give us a bad name with the police and the public. The next thing you know we are going to get a bunch of stupid regulations. Take a good look at the pre-WWII free flights. You do not need ailerons just, rudder, elevator and motor.
