Here is the link if you want to take a look.

We did a club presentation regarding this for our club website. We had a problem with power and internet connection.
We would have needed solar panels and a 3G system. It aint cheap. Annual expense for operating this was too cost prohibitive for us.

Some questions regarding your setup:
  • How are you guys getting the information uploaded to the web?
  • How much are you paying for the service?
  • What are you guys doing for powering your weather station and your internet connection?

One of the features we were going to have was a photo of the weather conditions was also going to be available. Some of our members live outside of Aurora and sometimes while we get sunshine, they get the rain . This would give them a "live" view of the field, and the updates would be loaded every minute. The photo would show a view overlooking the flight line so you could see if it was busy, you could see the windsock and the horizon to get an idea of what the weather conditions looked like. Unfortunately, some members freaked out about "invasion of privacy". I guess some guys sneak off work and didn't want their bosses finding out...LOL!!
