as far as i can remember in all the "other big series" such as ifmar,roar,femca,efra most other large races there is qualifying and mains(a's longest,b's shorter,c's shorter etc etc) just like we have had in glorcs for the last few years, glorcs used other series as examples when they set stuff up the way they did

separating classes into "sportsman" etc is usually done at the club level to help encourage the newest racers to stick with it! the rcpro series is the only large one i am familiar with that had some seperate classes
