The shorter black pieces with the square boss are mounted from under the starter box cover. The four posts with the large Lip are monted on top of the starter cover. the Square Boss's fit in the slots of the starter cover. The 4 long woodscrews are fastended through the larger lipped black pieces through the starter box cover and into the Black pieces with the square boss. The boss keeps the pieces in place without spinning when you tighten the screws. The standoffs I didnt use. I had 3 of those boxes. Like said above its more of a get the car lined up close with the posts a little loose. Move around until you get a good starter wheel contact and then tighten them down.

It will come out of alignment once in a while, either from be broken in are being slammed to the ground after a bad heat, I have seen that happen. ( I dont recommend it though)
