You may have noticed that "E" props are much lighter than I.C. engine props. It is my understanding that the reason for this is that engines vibrate more so a bulkier prop is required.

An electric motor does not vibrate so a lighter weight prop can be fitted to it. The motor not having to spin a heavy blob of plastic can now spin less material but more diameter and pitch. An electric motor does not know what prop is fitted to it. It will attempt to turn anything at max rpm. So if a heavy gas engine prop is fitted the motor willl turn it and probably overheat in the process.

That is just my understanding.
