Larger: Higher effective gear ratio; higher top speed at the expense of more current draw, more heat, less take-off torque, maybe less wheel-spin on launch. More top-heavy due to larger diameter putting it off the ground more.

Smaller: Lower effective gear ratio, slower top speed, more wheel-spin on launch but with sufficient grip could get out of the hole quicker. Less top-heavy/more stable. Might spin out easier coming out of a turn due to effective increase in torque unless tread pattern is such that grip increase makes up for it.
