Byrocat - I apologize for the hijack. I just didn't appreciate the dire warning regarding the work I've done due an extreme conclusion drawn from basic and generally accepted safety advice. I'm going to read back through the thread because I don't own a band saw and it's about time I did. I'm working with a lot more hardwood than I used to. A table saw isn't always the answer and a scroll saw is very slow and much less accurate if you need straight cuts. Again, I apologize.
