Re: Drain gas tank after a day of flying?

I DO Drain my tanks and it is NOT Optional (for me).

I have seen too many planes leak due to pressure changes that seem to pump the fuel out of the over flow. Then there are shifting loads that can cause the fuel to siphon out of the tank... (not all gas planes keep the landing gear on!)

This causes a nasty smell in the car (or house) and a potential fire hazard - anywhere!

So - just to be safe and reduce the risks - I take the extra two minutes to pump the gas back into the travel tank.

But that is just My Opinion and the way that I do things.
