So all you have to do is get every MAAC member to mail a cheque for $420 to MAAC and we'd be self insured for 1 incident.
Baring that;
MAAC sanctioned fields are currently covered by the insurance policy secured by MAAC on behalf of it's members. "Park Flyer" type aircraft are included.
Register the farmer's field with MAAC and follow the safety code for field layout, it's then a sanctioned flying field.
Get landowner permission, be it either the local municipality or local school board. Establish the required pilot, pit and spectator areas. Register the site with the zone director and it's a MAAC sanctioned flying site.
If you want to fly from your 160 hectare farm. Establish your flight line, pilot stations etc. Join the nearest flying club and get the club to have it sanctioned as an auxillary flying site.
It doesn't sound that complicated to me.

Wouldn't the world be wonderful if it was this easy to source and keep an RC fields. It's obvious from other threads on RCC that it is becoming more difficult all the time to get the permission from the municipalities to set up new fields, and then even if permission is granted, keeping the field more than a year or two is another issue. Noise seems to be the major issue in most parts of the country, in Que. it appears to be the use of agricultural land for the RC fields.
It is, in fact, usually a complicated matter.
