Hi

My initial post might have read that the alternator was only 60 amps.

In fact each of the diodes is rated at 60 amps. I have a large piece of aluminum for a heat sink.

I had planned to use at least 4 of these diodes.

I will post some pics of the transformer if you want.

By using the Variac I would also have a variable voltage DC battery charger.

I want to add a cheap Multimeter to the circuit so I can get consistant bow temperatures for the different size bows and battery charging.

I don't know whether I should put it on the AC output from the variac or on the DC output from the transformer?
