drilling holes in horns
So i guess it means "by Eye"! Suggest you get a long "T" pin --- push it thru where you want the hole , , suggest a pin as it won'tmake a big hole . When you are sure the in & out of pin hole is right -- push thru a longer straight thin wire , so now you have a long wire thru where you want it . Now i would weight the wing down on a flat surface with packing to hold it level [ that means the wire is dead upright ] you could also put a machinist type sq -- one the the blade slides up & down on it & have the heavy end on the flat surface & eye up so that the wire thru the wing is in line [with your eye again-] for being upright . Now get a drill or small dremel to start & drill thru a slightly bigger hole than the pin left . Again check - could even put the next size piece of straight wire in place of last piece . Make sure its sq to wing - drill again a slightly bigger hole & so on till you get the size you want , only way to do it , especially if the wing is too big to get to the drill press . Just need a steady hand & good eye
