Here's the piece for the top of the fuselage around the vertical stabilizer.




Taking my time with the trim iron it went on quite well. After extending the stripes on both sides I was done covering the tail repair. It passes the 50/50 test - looks perfect 50 feet away at 50 mph.




In the crash, the rudder extension and a chunk of the original rudder broke off.




I was able to separate the original piece from the extension and glue it in again. I considered a plywood doubler but the cabinetmaker's glue I use forms a bond stronger than the wood.




Next time in the shop I'll cover the rudder repair.
