That was better than I had hoped for, the wing panel fitted exactly to the drawing. The dark spot along the root is where the airfoil is the thickest and where it was only the wire thickness below the foam surface, but it's uniform with the rest of the surface. So the wing root thickness is literally just shy of two inches.

For those interested, my airfoil book indicates the scale airfoil to be a TsAGI SR-12S which is Russian. I checked it out and found it was very simular to the TsAGI S-8 that I have on my foam cutting program. Also the 12S is a lot thicker so it would need stacked foam to get it cut. So, if it's good enough for the Mig-29, it's good enough for this model.
