well I guess someone has to buck the trend...
My vote would be for the Kadet Sr. If you have all winter to build, a fast easy build is not an issue, so the extra time to build the Sr. is not an issue. The kadet will fly nice with a .34 good with a .40 and great with a .46, but bigger motor dose not mean better with the Kadet.
I have had a few Sr's (wore tham out, not crashed) and have flown the LT40, and for primary training the Sr is my pick. If you know how to fly and want somthing that will keep you entertained as your skills advance the LT40 may be a better choice. It's faster, and has alerons, but is just a bit less forgiving.

The instructions and skills you will learn building a Sr. are annother bonus, the LT 40 builds faster but does not teach you as much as far as building skills go.
