Re: Small Electric Pattern plane for practice?

Well, that didnt take long.

Tonight as I was searching for electric pattern planes, I was seriously looking at getting the FMS F3A Olympus from Motion RC:

Then tonight on RCC Alex posted an FMS F3A Explorer. What a fortunate coincidence

So I looked it up- not quite as large as the Olympus but runs on 3S or 4S packs. I have plenty of those on hand. Otherwise, I was looking at having to get 2 or 3 6S4000's for the Olympus.

Here's the Explorer:

I think I'll give it a try. I'm meeting Alex in the morning to pick it up. If it doesnt work out, I might try the Olympus later.
