Well, wings are closed up, basically all that's left is the sanding, filling etc. So I've moved back onto the floats. I think I may have figured out a way to have removable scale looking wheels, the attachment will have to be water tight and hopefully not add weigh too much. But first, I'm a little concerned the structure of the floats wasn't quite rigid enough and on the first landing, the float would snap in half and the plane would end up at the bottom of Lake Erie. So to tie the frames together up top with something more than balsa stringers, I cut 2 peices of 1/8 ply and notched it for each frame. Then I made some cross braces, and notched them too so the whole structure was interlocked. In the end the set up ended up looking like a ladder laying down inside the float structure.
