Ever since i could walk(and probably before that) i was hanging around my grandfathers basement workshop where he and my dad and my uncle would build there planes. i would grab whatever scrap i could and build little gliders and see if i coudl get them to fly. I guess you could say i have been in the hobby since birth(28 years). i enjoy the smell's associated with it, the sounds of the engines and the joy of having something that you have spent so much time, effort,(and money but who keeps track of that?) on, taking off and making that first turn and first landing, i can't think of anything that gives me such a boost to the ego. My girlfriend doesn't inderstand how i can spend 2-3 thousand dollars on an airplane and risk crashing it, but that to me is part of the rush.
