Bigger Diameter with lower Pitch = Slower horizontal flight speed but greater vertical thrust as can be seen in the vid.
In full scale aircraft that have variable pitch prop you use a finer pitch to climb to altitude then dial in the pitch to a more course one for better cruise speed with less HP used from the engine.
Rule of thumb... If you want a FAST airplane use a smaller diameter prop with a larger pitch. So if you normally use a 10 x 6 and you want to get more speed go odwn to a 9 x 8. If you want better vertical performance change the prop to an 11 x 4. Get the idea?
