Go with 6V battery packs. I have been using them for at least 25 years without a single issue related to the higher voltage

Your servos are going to be stronger and faster and may even run cooler.

The only thing to watch is since you have a higher voltage the servo will pull more current from your battery pack, so increase your battery pack capacity. Ex: if your 4.8volt pack is 800mahr increase it to 1000mahr for a 6 volts pack.

The only contra-indication for higher voltage is with some heli servo and gyro that you would have to regulate your voltage not higher than 6 volts
