If you are going to change one bearing you might as well change them both. Strip the entire engine down first thing. Heat the crank case GENTLY with a propane torch. Use a dowl slightly larger than the inner race of the front bearing. From the rear of the crank case it should only take a gentle poke if any at all and the front bearing will fall out. Then do the same thing from the front of the crank case to remove the rear bearing. Repeat the the process to put the new bearing in place. When the new bearing are in place, install the crank and GENTLY warm the crank case again with a propeller in place and tighten the propeller down tight. This will ensure the bearings asre seated in proper and all the way.
