Well Guys, we had our last indoor session a couple of Sundays ago and had a blast. A total of 6 flyers made it out and we did several competitions. An endurance flight, with most out at around 8 minutes, I got to 12 minutes with a lightened cl*k but lost out to Jim and his single cell floater.

A couple of gym mats made a good carrier deck and that is not as easy as it looks when the mats are across the gym from where you are standing. You had to land on the mats and then take off all without touching the floor. After each round the mats were shortened.

We also did a variation on the Limbo where the top bar was set and after each pass the bottom bar came up off the floor. Not as easy as it looks!

Pylon races were 5 laps round the floor going outside of the balloons with three planes in the air at one time. Andrew had a blue foam pizza plate that went like a rocket and ran into the curtains...lol. Surprisingly there were no mid-air, much to everyone's disappointment!.

The last event was combat, complete with 5 foot long streamers. Not a cut was made nor were any planes hit. but we had a great time and everyone was the winner.

Some of the attached pictures show the crew as a before shot. We fly blue foamies and also white dollar store foamies (easy to get) as well as some store bought foamies. Most are built without modifications but we are starting to get into lightening them.

Thanks to Gaston for this thread as it gave us the inspiration to get going and get lighter.
