Well, after a short dry spell I have finished my F-15 to the point of a test flight. The kit was a 3Dfoamy design with a few mis-directions between the plans, parts and pictures. I am running a Hacker A20-20L with a 10 x 4.7 prop on a 1700 ma 3 cell lipo. The esc is a phoenix 25 and a hitec 05S receiver. The plane uses stabilators and flaperons. At the moment I have been unable to find a prop saver for the motor due to the large shaft attached to the motor (hoping the landing works out). A range check at 60 ft did give me some gliches with the antenna down so I am hoping the full extension will work well. May need to think about a dual conversion unit without the case. The power wires run the length of the plane close to the receiver. The wires were twisted and wrapped in aluminium. All up weight is 600 g or 1lb 5.2 oz before painting.
Now between work and the weather I am waiting for the right day to head out to the field. Always nervous on the first flight and I don't think the depron will be very forgiving if I screw up. Hope to report back later.
