I agree with ED on the balancing. When you are going for the rpm it to me is more of a black science. Especially when you have to remove a lot of material. If you have to remove a lot of material from a blade it is sometimes better to use it for mixing epoxy.
I use a high point and get it as close as possible then I use a little hub adapter that sits on a pin to check. This is where I can mist a little to finish. The adapter I made years ago and wanted it especially going for extra high rpm. (30k+) Ed is from the old school when wood props where the only thing you could use you got a lot of practice in balancing. I used to buy a dozen props and if I got 6 out of the bag that where good I felt like I was lucky. The composites are a lot closer normally and usually do not require that much work.
