What moo says is kinda true but making sure they aren't damp (replacing bag etc)is a whole lot easier than drying soaked gear.My runway for a season was a small lake I lived on . I totally enjoyed float flying. I would tow my 1/4 cub out and then anchor the boat.I don't care how good you can fly somewhere along the line you will dump a plane upside down in the water. I did a couple of times but having the electronics in a bag saved a whole lot of time and allowed me to do more flying
