Re: Fancy Foam Vrolet( milled ) goes on a diet

Here are a few pictures of my milled Vrolet freestyle. This one weighs 5.2 ounces. As Trevor mentioned I removed the bottom case on the DSP60 servos. You have to tape the remaining top and middle cases. The lightened servos weigh about 5 grams each after this mod. Axi 2203/46 motor, Dualsky 6 amp esc, AR6300 receiver, FlightPower Evolite 350 mah 2S battery. I should be able to get the next one down to 5 ounces even without too much trouble. I was able to get one of my Vrolet F3P's down to 5.1 ounces. My FF Vantage came out at 4 ounces with battery and my latest FF Yak 55M weishs 4-1/2 ounces with battery. A 1/2 ounce on these planes makes a big difference in flight speed and overall performance.
Thanks,
Steve
