As John said tonight we went out to the airfield and started the DA170. That engine is a powerhouse. We did some taxi tests and took some photo's. We did not fly however.
We need to put about 3 lbs in the nose of this bird to balance properly. Also, setting up the flaps to also act as ailerons. That will be a bit of work. Not 100% sure on how to do that. Anyway as I promised we took pictures and some video. Video will follow a little later. When we maiden this plane we will video tape it and put it on this thread.
John McIntosh did a great job building this bird. Trevor also did a great job finishing the plane for us. It was quite a project. John can now get his basement back!!!!!!!
