Old Wedge-Style Fuel Tanks

Hi, and thanks in advance to reading.

I picked up some vintage NIB Perfect wedge style fuel tanks in an auction job lot. These tin tanks have three brass nipples sticking out of them; one out the side on the bottom, one out the other side 1/3rd. way up from the bottom, and one out the front top of the wedge.
Can anyone tell me which is the pickup feed, which is the vent, and which is the fill nipple. These did not come with any form of instructions.
