I love the DA / 3W rivalry!!!

I think Steve J was right - I think the problem was the diaphragm.....

I pulled the carb apart and wouldn't you know... the diaphragm was not seated correctly and was surely causing a poor seal... this is likely why the engine would run so good on the ground, since the fuel tank was above the carb. As soon the the tank got below the carb level, there wasn't enough suction to pull in the fuel.

As per the pictures, I reseated the diaphragm and put a little sealant on... time to fire up this bad boy and see how it really flies now.

It's time to rip some props!! - I'll let everyone know how it works when the weather allows me to.
