Did you consider RCV engines? According to the Canadian distributor (Kondor Model Products in Thunder Bay), the RCV91-CD engine is $244.95 and it is 81.4 mm from the crank to the top of the engine. So it looks competitive on price, and it's much shorter in overall height.

I don't run these engines myself, but a fellow club member has the 60-size and he likes it very much.
